Rita Marie Mastro (Momma), 80 of beautiful Sun City Center, FL, passed away on November 25, 2023, at her daughter Lisa's home in Wallkill, NY surrounded by her family.
Momma, born on April 27, 1943, to Robert and Freida (Bodok) Brandt in St. Francis Hospital, Bronx, NY, immediately she brought love and peace into the world.
Momma lived her childhood growing up in the Bronx, NY and St. Augustine, FL.
In 1963, she married Robert Mastro and went on to have four children, Robert, Anthony, Lisa and Gino.
Momma was a dedicated and loving mom to all her children, raising all four of them with her husband in Lake Carmel, NY. Momma took great pride in raising her children and providing a comfortable and loving home for them.
In later years, Momma enjoyed spending time and socializing with her friends and was very politically outspoken, in fact, outspoken in general. There was never a question as to what Momma was thinking, she was the first one to tell you. Momma always had a radiant smile and a twinkle in her eye. She was, by all accounts, the mischievous Momma. She loved her plants and absolutely loved all things on four legs that barked.
Momma was predeceased by her parents, and her sons Robert and Gino, and her former husband's wife, Patricia Wolfe, whom she considered a friend. She is survived by her former husband, Robert as well as her children and their spouses, Maria (Ronald Pirro), Tony (Patti Mastro), Lisa (Tom Casey), Lois Mastropole and Kusam Singh. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Christopher, Robbie, Nicholas, Anthony (Kaitlin), Nicole, Jimmy, Jon, Rene (Manik Elahi), Andrew, Kiran (Christopher Jiminez), Priyanka, Karamveer, Jessica and Samantha, and numerous great grandchildren. She will be missed by all.
A graveside service will take place on Saturday, December 16, 2023, at 11am at Fishkill Rural Cemetery 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
