Robert Anthony Agar was born to Edna Beatrice and Oliver Agar on August 6, 1921 in Mt. Standfast St. James, Barbados, West Indies. He passed away on May 15, 2012.
Robert emigrated to New York in 1944 and met his now deceased wife, Agnes Lee Walker in 1946. The couple married on October 23, 1948. He was a dedicated employee of ISO Commercial Risk Services where he worked as a Fire Insurance Inspector until his retirement in 1986.
Robert and Agnes were blessed to have the clearest view of love and understanding. Admiration and joy were a reflection of their union to which three children were born, Robert Jr., Brenda, and Terry.
He cherished his family which came to include daughters, Brenda and Terry; sons, Robert Jr. and Powell; stepson, Percy; son-in-law, Jerome; daughter-in-law, Sheila; fourteen grandchildren; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; brother, Lloyd; sister, Dorothy; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, special friends and neighbors.
Rejoice in the present rest and future return of Robert Anthony Agar.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 9:30am followed by entombment in Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley.
