.Robert Ballard, 67, of Fishkill, NY, passed away on May 7, 2022, after a long illness.

Robert, who went by Bob or Bobby, was born on April 15, 1955, in Newburgh, NY to Madeline Griffiths and Alvin Ballard, brother to Joy Miller and Terrance Ballard. He is survived by his wife, Janice, daughter, Erin (Robert Campoy), and grandson, Reid, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather (William Griffiths), his father, and his brother, Timothy Ballard.

Bob spent many years renovating their home and earned the name "Mr. Micrometer" by his family for the way he diligently measured building materials down to the fraction
His love of cars - or anything with a motor, really - which led him to a career as a mechanic where he worked for Ketcham Motors for many years, and NES Equipment.
Fishing was his favorite pastime, and he knew all the great fishing spots around the Fishkill area or fishing up to Lake St. Catherine in Vermont on vacation in the quest to catch "Walter".

The family would like to thank the staff at Putnam Nursing and Rehab for the care they provided Robert.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 11,2022 from 4-7pm at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill Inc,1089 Main St. Fishkill, NY. A memorial service will start at 6pm in the funeral home.
