Poughquag- Robert (Bob) Brickman a resident of Poughquag, NY passed away at home on August 27, 2021. He was 69.

Bob was born on March 12, 1952 in Brooklyn, NY the son of Robert and Eileen Brickman.

Bob's proudest moments were working at St. Joseph's School for the Deaf in the Bronx, NY where he worked helped set up the computer room during the early age of computer labs. There he stormed into a classroom and met the love of his life, Lynn Frisina. They married in 1989 and had a son David 8 years later. Bob's proudest moments were then spent raising him together.

Before prostate cancer got to him, Bob would signal he was passing you on his bike with a tune on his harmonica on the Rail Trail. You would hear him play the flute and enjoy listening to music. He loved being with his family and doing simple things like watching movies with his son and always keeping Jeopardy time sacred. He liked the role of rescuer and protector of his family and was always ready with a flashlight and a fresh battery. Bob enjoyed practical jokes, good puns and would always find a way to make us laugh.

Bob is survived by his brother Jack of Elmont, NY, sisters Mary Huben of Guilford, CT, Eileen Freedman of Hempstead, NY, and Bonnie Brickman of Long Island along with many nieces and nephews.

On Friday, September 3 from 3pm-7pm the family will host a Celebration of Life at their home.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Joseph's School for the Deaf or Hudson Valley Hospice.
