HOPEWELL JUNCTION – Robert J. Fesko, 65, a Hopewell Junction resident since 1986, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at home after a courageous battle with cancer. He previously lived in Wappingers Falls and Yorktown.
Born in Yonkers on November 18, 1949, he was the son of Edward and Florence (Hopkins) Fesko. Robert had been employed by Con Edison in Buchanan as a Senior Substation Operator for 41 years. On September 28, 1974 at the Church of North American Martyrs in Putnam Valley, Robert married Eileen Coyle Fesko who survives at home.
Robert was a parishioner at St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction. An avid outdoorsman who enjoyed the wilderness, he especially liked skiing, hiking, climbing, and fishing. Most of all, he loved his family and enjoyed the time he spent with them.
In addition to his loving wife of 40 years, Robert is survived by his children, Jason Fesko and his wife Amanda of Manhattan and Kelly Fesko of New Windsor; his granddaughter, Addison Fesko; his mother, Florence Fesko; his brother, Edward Fesko and his wife Donna of Greenwich, CT; his nephews and niece, Nicholas Fesko, Heather Verrastro and her husband Dan, and Michael Fesko; the Coyle family including his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Jean Coyle of Queens, Thomas and Ellen Coyle of Poughkeepsie, Daniel and Cathleen Coyle of Hopewell Junction, James and Pamela Coyle of Wappingers Falls, and Kevin and Anne Coyle of Wappingers Falls; and nieces and nephews, Dawn and Brian, Andrea and Anthony, Dan, Michael and Melissa, Katie, TC, Hannah, Tyler, Shannon, Alexa, and Ben; his granddog, Colby; and many great nieces and great nephews. Robert was predeceased by his father, Edward Fesko and his uncle, Don Hopkins.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Thursday at 10:30 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
