Robert C. "Doc" Finney, 71, of Somers, died on Sunday, May 17, 2015 in Ormond Beach, Florida.

Doc was born on April 27, 1944 in Washington, DC. He was employed as a contractor and loved animals, nature, the outdoors, and especially fishing.

Doc is survived by his children and their spouses, Robin and Wallace Nickerson of Deltona Beach, FL, Cheryl and Pete Magaletto of Fishkill, NY, Shawn and Elizabeth Finney of New Milford, CT, Shamus Finney and Kim Miller of Mahopac, NY and Amy Finney of Lagrangeville, NY; his grandchildren, Michael Nickerson, Catherine Nickerson, Kevin and Jamie Nickerson, Sean Nickerson, Christopher Finney, Rosemary Miller, Peter Magaletto, Danielle Magaletto, Michael John Miller, Stephanie Miller and Rowan Finney; his great-grandchildren, Declan Nickerson, Tessa and Gracie Nickerson; his former wife, Joanne Finney of Mahopac, NY; his brother, John J. Finney of Ormond Beach FL; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son, Robert C. Finney Jr.

Doc had many wonderful friends whom he loved dearly and will forever be a part of him.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, June 5 from 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 6 at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
