Robert William Garcey, 61, an area resident for 40 years, died on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at home.

Bob was born on June 4, 1953 in Astoria, the son of Robert W. and Miriam Devlin Garcey. Bob loved hunting, fishing, golfing, vacationing on tropical islands, and working with his hands and art. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and his best friend, Jack Jack.

On May 12, 1979 in Poughkeepsie, Bob married Rosalind Lown who survives at home. He is also survived by his mother, Miriam Garcey of Stormville; his children, Craig Garcey of Hopewell Junction, Andrea Calcutti and her husband Joseph of Hopewell Junction, and Sarah Hawley and her husband Matthew of Holmes; his grandchildren, Jordan Garcey, Jaden, Audrey, Leighla and Addison Hawley; and his sister, Lynn Osmers of Stormville. He was predeceased by his brother, William Garcey.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 9-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
