Robert A. Hansen, 64, a resident of Hopewell Junction for 34 years and formerly of Mount Vernon, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2010 at his home following a long illness.
Born in Mount Vernon on August 24, 1946, he was the son of Charles and Marie Giordano Hansen. He was a graduate of Columbia University and was employed as a Vice President with Con Edison in White Plains for 35 years until his retirement in 2002. Robert was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.
On September 17, 1966 at Our Lady of Victory Church in Mount Vernon, Robert married Angelina Carpanzano who survives at home. He is also survived by his son, Robert E. Hansen of Saugerties; his sister, Joyce Carpanzano of Larchmont; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery.
