Robert Anthony Huzar, a lifelong resident of Fishkill, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2025. He was 37.
He was born in Bronxville, NY on March 2, 1988. Robert began playing sports at a young age, initially playing baseball for Fishkill Little League. He later became interested in hockey, playing for John Jay High School's J.V. team and the Millbrook travel league. He was also a skilled bowler and golfer. More than anything else, he loved being with his family & friends and especially cherished being an uncle.
Robert is survived by his father, Robert E. Huzar and his wife Diane of Fishkill; his siblings, Matthew Vaughan and Paige Carlson; his niece, Ava Rose Vaughan; and many other loving relatives and close friends whom he considered family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Marie (McGill) Huzar; as well as his grandparents, Lorraine Johnson, Robert McGill, William Huzar, and Ann Huzar.
Calling hours will be held from 2pm to 5pm on Sunday, June 29 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10am on Tuesday, July 1 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill, NY. Interment will follow at Fishkill Rural Cemetery, 801 Route 9, Fishkill, NY.
