Robert J. Lasek, 61, a resident of Hopewell Junction since 2000 and formerly of Long Island, died suddenly on Sunday, February 13, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.
Born in Jersey City, NJ on March 28, 1950, he was the son of Henry and Josephine Lasek. He was currently employed as a custodial engineer for the Department of Education in the Bronx.
On June 30, 1991 in Brooklyn, Robert married Gabriela Rivera who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Joseph Lasek and his wife Carina of Charlotte, VT, Matthew Lasek and his wife Kaitlin of Denver, CO, Daniel Lasek and his wife Christelle of North Arlington, NJ, Elizabeth Lasek of Portland, OR, and Benjamin, Nathaniel and Christian Lasek , at home; his grandchildren, Alyssana, Brahm, Sienna, Delia and Sofie; his sister, Elaine Lasek and her husband Edward Nesselquist of Glen Ridge, NJ; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 10 am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
