Robert L. Marino, a resident of Yorktown since 1978 and formerly of Shrub Oak, died peacefully of natural causes on Monday, June 15, 2015 at home.
Born in the Bronx on January 11, 1930, he was the son of Eugene and Zenaida Ferriol Marino. Robert proudly served our country in the US Army as a Corporal during the Korean War. He had various jobs in his earlier years related to architecture, and then was the co-owner and operator of Century 21 – Robert David Real Estate in Shrub Oak for 20+ years until his retirement. He was also a student pilot who enjoyed flying, boating on the Hudson and Lake Mahopac, as well as cars and RC planes.
On August 13, 1955 in Mount Vernon, Robert was married to Carol Borghard, an extraordinary loving wife and mother, who predeceased him on October 18, 2000. He is survived by his children, Kathryn Lukaske of Irving, CA, Robert Marino and his wife Cathy of Aix Provence, France, Laura DeLena of LaGrange, and Kerry Marino of Ridgefield, CT; his sister, Elena Dow of FL; 9 grandchildren, and one niece. He was predeceased by his nephew.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1-4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by a Memorial Service at 4 pm.
