Robert R. Michelin

Robert R. Michelin passed away at Hudson Valley Hospice House on Saturday, October 3, 2026 at the age of 80. Robert was born on January 21, 1946 in Franklin, New Hampshire to the late Real and Theresa (Arsenault) Michelin. 

Bob was an Electrical Engineer at IBM for over 25 years leading to a lifelong interest in computers and technology. He was an avid reader, particularly history. In his retirement, Bob studied photography and enjoyed taking photos of nature, especially of flowers. He was also passionate about music.

Bob was an easygoing and kind person. His selfless nature was evident in the way he always put others before himself, offering his time, care, and kindness without ever expecting anything in return. 

Bob is survived by his loving wife Catherine Michelin; his children: Lisa Michelin Hall and her husband Craig, and Robert J. Michelin and his wife Joy; and his grandchildren: Brayden and Kaia Hall, and Corey and Sara Michelin; as well as his sister Nancy Vaughn and her husband Richard.

Memorial calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026 from 2 pm - 5 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY, with a funeral service at 4:30 pm.
