Robert T. O'Leary, Sr., 75, a resident of the Town of East Fishkill since 1976 and formerly of Brooklyn, died on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie following a long illness.
Born on October 29, 1934 in Astoria, he was the son of the late Daniel and Lillian Krowl O'Leary.  He served in the US Army and was employed as an electrician for Local #3 in New York City for 25 years. He was a parishioner of St. Columba Church in Hopewell Junction.

On January 27, 1963 at St. Aloysius Church in Ridgewood, Bob married Frieda Verderber who survives at home.  He is also survived by his sons, Robert Thomas O'Leary, Jr., his wife, Nancy and their daughter, Bridget Deanna of Fishkill and Stephen O'Leary, his fiancé, Nicole Rinaldi and her daughter, Angelica of Fishkill; his brothers, Walter O'Leary and his wife Teriko of CA, Donald O'Leary and his wife Judy of UT and Daniel O'Leary of Queens; his sisters, Dorothy Powner and her husband James of Queens, Catherine Waln of CO and Maureen Lucera of Long Island; and many nieces and nephews.  He was predeceased by his sisters, Lilly Konko and Dolores Malsich.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by interment in St. Denis Cemetery with military honors.
