East Fishkill - Robert Henry Persich, 88, a resident of Hopewell Junction, died on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at home surrounded by his family.
Born on December 12, 1927 in Hoboken, NJ, he was the son of Joseph and Mary (Slattery) Persich. Robert proudly served our country in United States Navy during the Korean War. He worked for Boeing Aircraft for 15 years and Curtis Wright for 15 years until his retirement in 1978.
Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus for over 60 years, and an avid golfer and bowler.
Robert was predeceased by his first wife, Ann Zika on October 5, 1986, who was a widow with four children, William Zika and his wife Deborah, Susan Forsythe and her husband James, Sherry Moloney, Robert Zika and his wife Deana. On September 26, 1992, he married Janet Noye who was a widow with four children, Kevin Noye and his husband Ken Davis, Karen Noye and her daughter Melanie, Sharon Manzo and her husband Anthony, Stephen Noye and his wife Cheryl. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 11:30am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington, NJ.
