Robert R. Punch, 79, a resident of Marlboro for 20 years and formerly of Fishkill and Beacon, died on Wednesday, September 9, 2015 at Castle Point VAMC.

Born in the Bronx on September 4, 1936, he was the son of the late Jack and Helen Punch. Robert proudly served our country in the US Navy. He worked as a professional driver for many years. He attended the Solid Rock Church in New Windsor and the Church of the Nazarene in Fishkill. A master chess player, he also enjoyed fishing, boating, spending time on the beach and on the Hudson River. More than anything, he loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

Robert is survived by his daughter, Kathleen Hargreaves and her husband Chuck; his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Alec and Ashley; and several nephews. He was predeceased by his parents and his siblings, Jack and Elizabeth.

A Memorial Service with Military Honors will be held on Monday, September 14th at 2 pm at Chapel Falls Christian Fellowship, 4 Nancy Court, Wappingers Falls.
