Robert A. Salani, 39, of Pleasant Valley, died on September 17, 2024.

Born in the Bronx on June 27, 1985, he was the son of the late Robert and Kathryn (Hopkinson) Salani. Robert had been employed for the last five years as a dispatcher for the City of Poughkeepsie Police, Fire and EMS Departments. He had previously worked for 12 years as an EMT for Mobile Life. He was a big gamer and really enjoyed World of Warcraft.

Robert is survived by his grandmother, Patricia Hopkinson; his partner, Jennylynn and her children, Silas and Scarlett; his aunts and uncles, Carol Ranalli, Janet Hopkinson, Andrew and Meri Hopkinson, James Hopkinson, Peter and Cynthia Hopkinson; ten cousins; and his sister of the heart, Jessica Blough. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his grandfather, Henry Hopkinson; his uncles, Edward Hopkinson and Anthony Ranalli; and his cousin, Kyle Hopkinson.

Calling hours will be held on Monday and Tuesday from 4-8pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service on Tuesday at 7:30pm.
