Robert Kenneth Schweiger, 65, formerly of Poughkeepsie, died on February 28, 2018 at the Scioto Trails Group Home in Waverly, OH.

Born in Queens on October 18, 1952, he was the son of Mary Ann (Colella) Schweiger of Poughkeepsie and the late Harry Edward Schweiger. Robert was a special needs child who touched so many lives with his sweetness. He absolutely loved sports of every kind.

In addition to his mother, Robert is also survived by his sister-in-law, Laura Silvernail; his uncle, Robert Colella; his niece, Cassandra; his nephew, John; and many cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Richard Schweiger.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Saturday at 10am at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1590 Main Street, Pleasant Valley followed by interment in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
