PLEASANT VALLEY - Robert R. Scott, 77, a resident of Dutchess County since 1995, died on March 15, 2019 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center.

Born in Newport, RI on June 24, 1941, he was the son of Kester and Rhea (Jarvis) Scott. Bob proudly served our country in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a self-employed drywall plaster contractor. A member of the Coast Guard Reserves, he enjoyed bicycling, sailing and running.

Bob is survived by his daughters, Lisa Smith and her husband Scott, and Corinne Spruck; his grandchildren, Matthew and Stephanie Smith, Cody and Shyla Smith, Mitchel Smith and his fiance Rachel Morgano, Robert, Kristen and Randy Spruck; his great-grandchildren, Aidan, Eli and Jaxon; his siblings, William and Gail Scott, Charlotte Burke, Mary Scott, Joan and Claude Fletcher, Katherine Gorda, and David Scott; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by his brother, John Scott, three weeks ago.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2-4pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. There will be a funeral service at 4pm.
