Robert Richard Hargreaves, Sr., a Wappingers Falls resident since 1993 and formerly of Goldens Bridge, died on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Mid-Hudson Valley Division of Westchester Medical Center in Poughkeepsie. He was 79.
Son of the late Albert Richard and Marion R. (Maurus) Hargreaves, he was born in Yonkers on December 11, 1938. He was a United States Navy Veteran who served from 1957-1959. For 13 years, he worked for the Christian Herald Association in Chappaqua, retiring in 1996.
Robert was an avid New York Yankees and New York Giants Fan. He also enjoyed reading.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Judith LaSota, at home; his son, Robert R. Hargreaves, Jr. & his wife Debbie of California; his daughter, Elizabeth Gallos & her husband Richard of Rye; his son, William Hargreaves & his wife Rebecca of California; his grandchildren, June Hargreaves, Robert R. Hargreaves III, Ryan Hargreaves, Richard "Trey" Gallos, Cody Gallos, Aidan Gallos, Zoe Hargreaves, and Dara Hargreaves; and many other loving relatives & friends.
In addition to his parents, Robert was predeceased by his sister, Diane Long.
