Roberta Florence Lewis, a resident of Fishkill since 1988 and formerly of Yonkers, died at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie on Sunday, January 24, 2016. She was 66.

Daughter of the late Robert and Elizabeth (Schmidt) Hagen, she was born in LaCrosse, WI on August 19, 1949.

She dedicated her career to health care as a R.N. In 1981, she began working at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers and retired in 2014.
Roberta volunteered for Mid Hudson Animal Aid in Beacon and also pursued many hobbies. She enjoyed gardening, especially flowers; as well as knitting and traveling. She will also be remembered as an amazing cook.

On May 14, 1988, she married Gerald E. Lewis, Sr. in Ardsley. Mr. Lewis survives at home in Fishkill. Additional survivors include her daughter, Dawn Filippone of Fishkill; her daughter, Tracy Filippone (Donna Oberhauser) of Wappingers Falls; her grandchildren, Justin Filippone of Burlington, VT and Christine & Michael Morano of Somers; her stepchildren, Gerald Lewis, Jr. of Poughkeepsie, Susan Morano (Guy) of Somers, and Carolyn Purnell (Michael) of LaGrange; her siblings, Gloria Treola of Port St. Lucie, FL, Carla Hagen of the Bronx, Joyce Sloman of Clearwater, FL, and Richard Hagen of Florida. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives & friends.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 28 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, January 29 at the funeral home.
