WAPPINGERS FALLS – Roberta F. Moore, 56, an area resident for over 17 years, died on July 5, 2022 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center. She previously lived in Mahopac.

Born in Manhattan on December 20, 1965, Roberta was the daughter of the late Gordon and Patricia (McMullen) Krakower. She had been employed as a LPN at Salem Hills Nursing Home in Purdys for over 8 years.

Roberta was a proud 25 year member of the Somers Volunteer Fire Department where she had served as Captain, EMT, and EMT Instructor. She was a parishioner at St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill. More than anything, her family and friends will remember her as being a Disney Fanatic!

On August 18, 2001, Roberta married Charles M. Moore who survives at home.

She is also survived by her son, Charles J. "CJ" Moore; her siblings, Lucretia Vilardi, Josephine Faso, and Toni Mamane; her sister-in-law, Kathleen Pecoraro; her brother-in-law, Michael Abrantes; her cousin, Justine Martino; and her nieces, Danielle Pecoraro, Diana Pecoraro, Brooke Hawley, and Chelsea Hawley; and her beloved furry companions, Mario and Sophia. In addition to her parents, she was also predeceased by her sister, Sallyann Indelicato and her sister-in-law, Nancy Abrantes.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 12 – 4 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill with a funeral service being held at 3:00 pm.

Donations may be made in Roberta's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the Somers Volunteer Fire Department.
