Roberta Shaw, 72, passed away on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 in Fishkill, NY.

Daughter of the late Albert and Antoinette (Alascia) Bisconti, she was born in the Bronx on April 11, 1951. She spent her childhood inseparable from her cousins Vinny and Annemarie. As an adult, she and her late husband Charles raised their family in Yonkers.

For many years, Roberta worked as a secretary for JC Penney. She later went on to work for Yonkers Public Schools, where she served for more than 20 years. Following her retirement, she lived with her son's family at their home in Fishkill.

As a lifelong pet owner, Roberta loved animals, especially her beloved cat Sprite. She enjoyed relaxing at home watching sitcoms, gameshows, talk shows, and reading the morning paper. Her favorite movie was Dr. Zhivago. An avid New York Yankees fan, she also loved 60s music, Neil Diamond, and she would take any opportunity possible to attend Broadway musicals.

In her later years, Roberta lived for her grandchildren and cherished spending time with them, whether it was going to the park or Christmas shopping.

Survivors include her son, Jason & his wife Lisa; her daughter, Jessica; her son, Scott & his wife Karena; her grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, Ryan, Carter, Cooper, Gemma, and Peter; her cousin, Vinny; as well as many other loving relatives & friends in addition to her faithful companion Sprite.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, October 12 from 4 to 7 p.m. with a funeral service at 6:30 p.m. at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY.
