Obituary

Robin Reis, a lifelong resident of Dutchess County, died on April 20, 2015 following an eight-month battle with leukemia at New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center in Manhattan. She was 58.

She was born in Cold Spring on April 3, 1957, one of four siblings.

Robin worked for I.B.M. for nearly 30 years until moving to AT & T, where she served in the I.T. department for the last five years. She was an active member of the Wappingers Falls United Methodist Church, where she volunteered much of her time to many of the church's various ministries. In addition to the church, she also volunteered for Meals on Wheels and other non-profit organizations.

Robin was not only cherished by her family, but had a strong bond with many, many friends. She always enjoyed being in their company, whether it was the book club, the Bunco group, or taking shopping trips throughout the Northeast.

She is survived by her children, Corey Osoba of Norwalk, CT, Morgan Reis of Wappingers Falls, and Kendall Reis of Wappingers Falls; her parents, Angelo and Joyce (Rainboth) Pomarico; her siblings, Greg Pomarico & his wife Kelly of Beacon, Tracey Kelly of Rhinebeck, and Beth Dondero & her husband Matt of Beacon; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and a host of friends that she considered part of her family.

Calling hours will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 24 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A memorial service will begin at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 25 at the Wappingers Falls United Methodist Church, 9 S. Mesier Ave., Wappingers Falls. Rev. Charlese Dorsey and Rev. Sandra Mantz will co-officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center, 525 East 68 St., Box 123, New York, NY 10065; www.nyp.org. The family wishes to have all donations in Robin's memory directed to the 10th Floor, B.M.T. Unit.
