Obituary

MILLBROOK – Rodman Leopold Jacobs, 83, a resident of Millbrook for the past year, and formerly of Deland, FL, LaGrangeville, and Hopewell Junction, died on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at home.
Born in Brooklyn on June 12, 1928, he was the son of the late Leo and Hattie Jacobs. On June 4, 1949, he married Beulah Phillips. Mrs. Jacobs predeceased him in 2004.
Rodman had worked as a Advertising Manager for Dialight Corporation in Wall, NJ. He proudly served our country during WW II in the United States Navy. He was an avid stamp collector.
Rodman is survived by his children, Sue Schwartz and her husband Mike of Hopewell Junction, Ellen Purchell of the Bronx, and Lee Jacobs of Pennsylvania; his grandchildren, Michael Schwartz of Hopewell Junction, Janine Marzan and her husband Jason of Puerto Rico, Joshua Purchell of the Bronx, Joey and Jimmy Jacobs of Nevada; and his great-grandson, Christopher. He was also predeceased by his siblings, Ted and Sid Jacobs.
