FISHKILL – Ronald W. Busse, 82, an area resident since 2006, passed away on May 15, 2024 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital. He previously lived in Effort, PA, Massapequa, and Queens.
Born in Queens on September 11, 1941, Ronald was the son of the late Winthrop and Dorothy (Walter) Busse. He retired as Field Engineer from ConEdison in Brooklyn after 36 years of employment.
Ronald is survived by his sons, Ronald Busse of Denver, CO and Jeffrey Busse and his wife Tara of Hopewell Junction; and his granddaughters, Kimberly and Nicole Busse. In addition to his parents, Ronald was predeceased by his wife, Marylou (Abatemarco) Busse.
Ronald was known to many as Grampie; a title he wore in pride.
Ron loved music; he played piano, organ, guitar, accordion, melodica, saxophone, and stand-up bass. He was a 7 instrument man!
Ron loved to travel, especially cruise ships.
Above all Ron loved spending time with his family.
