FISHKILL – Ronald S. Coviello, 56, affectionately called "Ronny Boy", passed away on March 3, 2024 at Calvary Hospital in the Bronx after a courageous battle with cancer. A resident of Fishkill since 2013, he previously lived in the Bronx.
A Bronx Bomber through and through, he was born on October 29, 1967 at Pelham Bay General (Ironically, so was his wife) and grew up in the Bronx where he played high school football and was a parishioner at Holy Family Parish.
Ronny was a truck driver who prided himself in his driving and directional abilities calling himself RonRon instead of TomTom. He was previously a carpenter in New York City, and enjoyed telling his family which buildings he built as they drove by them.
Ronny was so friendly and would crack a joke with anyone who would lend an ear. More than anything, he was an avid sports fan of New York teams, especially the Yankees, Giants, and Rangers.
On May 30, 1997 at St. Raymond's Church in the Bronx, Ronny married Lisa Ann Fizzinoglia who survives at home after almost 27 years of marriage and 37 years together; his daughters, Kaylee Coviello and her partner Anthony and Jaime Coviello; his granddaughter, who was the apple of his eye, Avery; his father, Ronald Coviello; his brother, Kevin Coviello; his sister, Michelle Paolucci and her husband Michael; and his nephew, Daniel.
Ronny was predeceased by his mother, Margaret "Peggy" Massarro Coviello; his grandparents, Albert Talbot, Genevieve Massarro, Angelo Coviello, and Mary Coviello; and his beloved pets, Codie, Bella, and Moo.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3 – 7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial is being offered on Friday at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill.
