Obituary

Ronald Joseph Goulding, 85, a resident of the Town of Poughkeepsie for 47 years and formerly of Uniondale, entered into eternal rest on Monday, March 24, 2014.
Born in Millors Falls, MA on January 23, 1929, he was the son of the late Daniel and Yvonne Goulding. He proudly served our country in the US Navy during World War II and was employed by IBM, Poughkeepsie and Fishkill for 26 years until his retirement in 1991. Ronald was a parishioner of St. Martin de Porres Church in Poughkeepsie and a member of the Florentine Council, Knights of Columbus. He had also been a member of the IBM Country Club, IBM Quarter Century Club and the Four Point Sporting Club. He enjoyed making Navy ship models.
On June 14, 1952 at Assumption Church in White Plains, Ronald married Frances Leonardis who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Dr. Virginia Johnson of PA, Janet Streifel and her husband Robert of Puyallup, WA, Elizabeth Goulding of Locust Valley, Margaret Qatani and her husband Martin of Hyde Park, Ronald Goulding and his wife Cathy of Phoenixville, PA; his son-in-law, Glenn Johnson; and his grandchildren, Tony and Andrei Johnson, Benjamin and Amber Streifel, Danielle, Corey, Jeffrey and Stefanie Tag, Christian, Bridget and Evan Qatani, Daniel and Charles Goulding. He was predeceased by his siblings, Raymond, Catherine and Doris.
The family wishes to thank Hudson Valley Hospice for their support and kindness during this difficult time.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10am at St. Martin de Porres Church, 118 Cedar Valley Road, Poughkeepsie followed by interment in Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains with military honors.
