Hopewell Junction- Ronald J. Pettinati, formerly of the Bronx, was a resident of Hopewell Junction, NY since 1983. He passed away on January 18, 2025, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center after battling cancer. He was 74 years old.

Ronald was born on August 31, 1950, in Mt. Vernon, NY, the son of the late Nancy Benelli.

On June 5, 1976, at St. Anthonys Church in the Bronx, he married the love of his life, Jacqueline "Jackie" (Apicella) who survives at home.

Ronald worked for the New York City Department of Sanitation for 20 years, before retiring as a supervisor.

An avid outdoorsman, he spent many years traveling and camping. His hobbies included hunting, salmon fishing in Alaska, wildlife photography and woodworking.

In addition to his wife Jackie and son Justin, he is survived by his sister Lynn.

Sister and brother in laws include Christine & James, Stephanie & Louis, Jack & Elizabeth, and Helena.

Nieces and nephews include: Giana-Jolie, Jenna and Leigh-ann, Jack Jr., Joseph and Matthew.

He is pre-deceased by his mother Nancy and identical twin brother Richard.

Calling hours will be Friday, January 24th, 2025, from 4pm -8pm at McHoul Funeral Home Inc. 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, 10am at St. Denis Church 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction, NY. Entombment to follow at Rose Hills Memorial Park 100 Mill Street, Putnam Valley, NY.
