Ronald John Van Tine Sr.

Ronald John Van Tine Sr., 93, passed away peacefully on August 15, 2026. He was born in Port Chester, NY, on April 17, 1933 to the late George and Bertha (Smith) Van Tine. On May 27, 1972 he married the love of his life, Lucy (Nardi) Van Tine, with whom he shared 54 wonderful years.

Ronald proudly served his country in the United States Army as a member of the Military Police. Following his military service, he worked as a plumber and was a proud member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in Peekskill, NY.

Ronald enjoyed many of life's simple pleasures. He loved spending time on the golf course, bowling, and cheering on his beloved New York Mets and New York Jets. Known for his wonderful sense of humor, Ronald had a gift for making people laugh and bringing joy to those around him. His warmth, humor, and love for his family will be deeply missed.

Ronald is survived by his devoted wife, Lucy Van Tine; his three children, Ricky, Ronald Jr., and Nicholas Van Tine; and his grandchildren, Mia Van Tine, Victoria VanTine, Niccole VanTine, Vanessa Van Tine, Rebecca (Van Tine) Zaro, Jessica (Van Tine) Bacher, and Melissa (VanTine) Funaro. He will be lovingly remembered by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, 1089 Main Street, Fishkill, NY. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 20, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home, followed by interment at Fishkill Rural Cemetery with military honors.
