Hopewell Junction – Rosalyn Meroles, age 77, passed away on December 14, 2022, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 12, 1945 in Queens, NY to Juliette Ritter and Manuel Cano. On September 30, 1972, she married her love Robert Meroles in Astoria, Queens. He survives at home along with her daughter Carolyn Meroles.

Rosalyn worked as an Administrative Clerk for the NYC Dept of Social Services for many years. She also worked at a day care center and spent time at home raising her daughter Carolyn. In her free time, Rosalyn loved to dance, travel, cooking, spend time out on the ocean boating and watch sci-fi movies. She had a love for all animals, especially cats.

In addition to her beloved husband Robert, she is also survived by her daughter Carolyn Meroles.

She is predeceased by her mother Juliette Ritter, her sister Pauline Ritter, and her brother Byron Ritter.

Rosalyn was a loving Wife, Mother, Aunt and friend to many and had a wonderful presence and smile, she will truly be missed. We will continue to celebrate her always in our conversations and memories of her in our hearts.

Calling hours will be held on Monday December 19th 2022 from 8:30am-10:30am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc. 895 Rt. 82 Hopewell Junction. A Funeral mass will follow at 11am at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell, followed by a burial at St. Denis Cemetery.
