MLLBROOK – Rosaria "Lucy" Zerafa, 89, an area resident since 2000, died peacefully at home on May 6, 2022.

Born in Valletta, Malta on May 17, 1932, Lucy was the daughter of the late Manuel and Paula (Zuzu) Brincot. On November 11, 1951 in Malta, she married George Zerafa who predeceased her in 1999. For over 25 years, Lucy was employed by Banker's Trust in New York City until her retirement in 1988.

She was a parishioner at St. Joseph's Church in Millbrook and a member of the Senior Citizen Club. Lucy enjoyed knitting, needle point, and sewing. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her daughter, Doris Zerafa; her grandchildren, Shawn and Tabitha Zerafa, Derrick and Lexis Davis, Jr., and Lutena Davis; and her great- grandchildren, Jordan, Rosaria, Jude, Lennex, Trey, River, and Ezar. In addition to her husband and parents, Lucy was also predeceased by her daughter, Josephine DeSomma in 2010.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 4 -7 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday at 11 am at St. Joseph's Church, 15 North Avenue, Millbrook followed by burial at St. Denis Cemetery in Hopewell Junction.
