WAPPINGERS FALLS – Rosario R. Guigliano, 83, of Wappingers Falls for 9 years and formerly of the Bronx, died on Sunday, October 30, 2011 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Manhattan on April 4, 1928, he was the son of the late Michael and Lucy Sorrentino Guigliano. On June 30, 1951 at Our Lady of Pity in the Bronx, he married Wilhelmina Evangelista, who predeceased him in 1981.

Rosario proudly served our country during World War II in the United States Air Corps. He worked as a Machinist for Walker Prismatic in Manhattan. Rosario was a parishioner at St. Mary's Church in Wappingers Falls. He loved his family who meant everything to him.

Rosario is survived by children, Rudy Guigliano and his wife Cathie of Carmel, Dawn Imondi and her husband Ben of Monroe, and Laura Thomas and her husband Chris of Wappingers Falls; his grandchildren, Rudy and Vincent, Valerie and Amanda, and Christopher and Anthony; his sister, Anna Mangano and her husband Pete of Comack; his brother, Anthony G. Guigliano and his wife Rene of Yonkers; his sister-in-law, Rita Guigliano of Patterson; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Rosario was also predeceased by his brother, Angelo G. Guigliano.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at St. Mary's Church, Our Lady of the Falls, 11 Clinton Street, Wappingers Falls. Entombment will follow at the Shrine of Memories at Ferncliff Cemetery.
