Burbank
December 31, 1935 – October 24, 2025
Rose Burbank passed away peacefully on October 24, 2025 at the Pines Nursing Home in Poughkeepsie. She leaves behind two daughters, Suzanne Davies (Charley) of Rye, New York, Marjorie Neun (Rick) of Wappingers Falls, New York, six grandchildren; Tori Relyea (Greg), TJ Neun (Danielle), Philip Davies (Kate). Nikki Xenakis (Jeff), John Davies (Brittany) and Annie Russell (Leo); nine great grandchildren, and a brother, Francis J Pinhack (Doris), Jr. of Florida. She was predeceased by her sister Julie Van Wagner (Ken).
Rose Hauert Pinhack was born on December 31, 1935 to Anne Kohus and Francis J Pinhack of Hastings-on-Hudson, New York. She grew up in Hastings and attended local schools. Rose raised her two girls in Dobbs Ferry, New York, working jobs as a medical secretary. She had many friends and loved to spend time with her parents and her father-in-law, Clinton Burbank, all of whom she cared for greatly.
Once her children became adults, she moved to Calabash, North Carolina where she was close to her sister Julie, returning to Wappingers Falls later to be closer to her children and their families.
Rose will be remembered as a woman of great faith who placed the care of her family and friends first. Her greatest joy was to be surrounded by her family and her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren simply adored her. She will be greatly missed.
She will also be remembered at the Pines Nursing home as a resident who helped others acclimate, showed great respect for the staff, and in the darkest of days found light and hope.
Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, November 5 from 5-7 pm, at the McHoul Funeral Home, Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on November 6 at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction .
