Obituary

Rose Troiano, a Fishkill resident for 23 years, formerly of the Bronx, died peacefully in the comfort of her home on Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was 100 years old.
Daughter of the late Carmello and Emillia (Robustella) Esposito, she was born in Goshen on November 20, 1913. In 1932, she married Frank Troiano, who predeceased her in 1973. She was a parishioner of St. Mary, Mother of the Church in Fishkill.
Above all else, she cherished her family and was affectionately known to all as "Nana Rose". As the nucleus of her family, she remained in constant contact with all relatives near and far, and was loved by all. She will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her daughter, Emily Panichi & her husband Emil; her son, Dominic Troiano & his wife Francine; her grandchildren, Elisa Popovich & her husband James, Evelyn Constantino & her husband James, Frank Troiano & his wife Roxanne, and Rosalie Notoris; her great-grandchildren, James Popovich, Jr., Kristi Brien & her husband Scott, Emil Constantino, Matthew Constantino, Elisabeth Constantino, Beneta Troiano, Dominica Troiano, Theresa Lardieri, Alexa Rose Lardieri, John Notoris, and Dominic Notoris; her great-great grandchildren, Emily Rose & Benjamin Brien; her brother, John Esposito & his wife Terry; her "adopted daughter", Theresa Santambrosio along with her family; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other relatives & friends.
Rose was predeceased by four siblings, Neil Esposito, Lucy Ullo, Mary Romano, and Sam Esposito.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 30 at St. Mary, Mother of the Church, 106 Jackson Street, Fishkill. Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Cemetery in Hartsdale.
