Rose Marie (Mazza) Watt, 68, of Hopewell Junction, went to her eternal rest surrounded by her children and grandchildren at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on Tuesday, November 11, 2014.
Rose was born on November 20, 1945, in the Bronx to parents Giovanni and Elizabeth (Palazzo) Mazza. She was a long-time resident of Wappingers Falls.
Rose was preceded in death by her parents, Giovanni and Elizabeth Mazza; her brothers, Anthony Mazza and Salvatore Mazza; and her loving husband, James Watt Jr .
Rose is survived by her beloved children, Robert and Karen Friel of Wappingers Falls, Vincent and Donna Friel of Cropseyville, John Watt of Nashua, NH, Mark Watt and his girlfriend Ann Duffy of Wappingers Falls, James and Laura Watt of Massapequa, and Theresa Abston and her fiancé Adrian Howard of Hopewell Junction; her loving grandchildren, April (Friel) and Edward Harris, Toni Friel and her partner Heather Evon, Caitlin, Ryan, and Morgan Friel, Zachary, Michael and Benjamin Watt, Hunter, Heather and Hayden Abston, Faith Watt, Alexandra, Ethan and James Watt; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A dedicated mother and grandmother, Rose cherished and adored her children and grandchildren and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Friday, November 21, 2014 at 10am followed by interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Wappingers Falls.
