BEEKMAN - Rosemarie Calderon, 85, an area resident since 1975 and formerly of Brooklyn and the Bronx, died on Easter Sunday, April 20, 2025 at her home. Born in Brooklyn on May 29, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Helen (Winchock) Paris. Marie was a graduate of the Maxwell Vocational School in Brooklyn Class of 1957 where she served as class president and milk monitor, and was a member of the service squad, traffic squad and Commercial Art Club. Marie had been employed as a telephone operator for the New York Telephone Company in Manhattan. She had also worked as a dietician in a senior living community and as a horticulturist at Country Gardens in Hopewell Junction. Marie enjoyed gardening, oil painting, charcoal drawing, fashion art, music, singing, bird watching and sewing. On June 28, 1959 at St. Augustine's Chapel in New York City, Marie married the love of her life, Frederick Calderon, who predeceased her on December 13, 2024. She is survived by her sons, Frederick Calderon and his wife Mae and Richard Glenn Calderon and his wife Rosemary; her daughter, Linda Marie Bloomer and her husband Jay; her grandchildren, Nadine Larson and her husband Jared, Michael Calderon, and Paul Calderon; her great-grandchildren, Julian Larson, Emmett Larson, and Finley Larson; her nephew, Philip Caban; her niece, Anna Loor; and her family pets, Mika Bloomer, Rebecca, Zeus, Petey, Baby and Bella. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also predeceased by her siblings, Charles, Johnny, William, Lorraine Paris and Helen Moody. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1-3pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction with a Celebration of Life Service at 3pm.
