Rosemarie Pugliese passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 17, 2024. She was 90.
Rosemarie was born on October 19, 1933, to the late Joseph and Mary Scozzafava of Yonkers, New York. She is predeceased by her brothers, Joseph and Bernard Scozzafava.
On January 3, 1954, at Saint Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, she married Joseph J. Pugliese of Brooklyn, N.Y. They settled in Yonkers, N.Y. to raise their family. As "empty nesters", they moved to Brigantine, New Jersey to enjoy the beach, fresh air, restaurants, and occasional trips to the boardwalk and casinos of Atlantic City. Eventually, Rosemarie and Joseph made their way back to N.Y., where they resided in Croton-On-Hudson, N.Y.
She is survived by her husband Joseph, two daughters, Debbie Zumpano and husband Steve of Ossining, N.Y., and Lynne Mastroddi of Peekskill, N.Y. Her son, Joseph B. Pugliese of Fishkill, N.Y., and son-in-law Robert Mastroddi of Montrose, N.Y., preceded her in death. She was also blessed with nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Mary's Church in Fishkill, N.Y. on July 31, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Yonkers, N.Y. at 12:00 p.m.
