Rosemarie Vaccarelli, 76, a long-time resident of Yonkers, died on Saturday, January 25, 2014 at her home.
Born in the Bronx on October 9, 1937, she was the daughter of Christopher and Rose Cignarella Vendura. Rosemarie had been employed by the Yonkers City School District for 30 years until her retirement in 2009. She was a parishioner of St. Paul the Apostle Church in Yonkers.
On April 5, 1959 in the Bronx, Rosemarie married Dominick A. Vaccarelli who survives at home. She is also survived by her sons and their wives, Anthony and Lisa Vaccarelli of Acworth, GA, Dominick and Gina Vaccarelli of Hopewell Junction, Christopher and Erin Vaccarelli of Somers; her brother, John Vendura of FL; and her grandchildren, Jessica, Dominick, Alyssa, Victoria, Emily, Julia, Jenna, Gabriella and Rosa.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction followed by entombment in the Rosewood Mausoleum at Ferncliff Cemetery.
