Rosemary Babcock, 78, an area resident for 9 years and previously of Carmel, died on October 10, 2019 at Hudson Valley Rehabilitation.

Born on May 2, 1941 in Mount Vernon, Rosemary was the daughter of Edward John and Rose Marie (O’Flaherty) Price. She was predeceased by her husband, James Babcock on May 1, 2016.

Rosemary enjoyed many years of service at the Carmel School District. Rosemary was a parishioner at St. James the Apostle Church in Carmel, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and an avid member of the Blodgett Library in Fishkill.

Rosemary is survived by her children and their spouses, Elizabeth Ann and Christopher DiBetta of Torrington, CT, Susan and Dennis Bowles of New Paltz, and James and Amy Babcock, Jr. of Hopewell Junction; her grandchildren, Ryan and his wife Kayleigh, Curtis, Abigail, and Myles; and her sister, Ann and husband Joseph Picone.

A private funeral service for family and Rosemary's friends will be held Monday, October 14 at 1pm at Rose Hills Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc.
