Our dearest Rosemary 'Rosie' VanHorn, 69, of Marlboro, died January 28, 2021 in the comfort of her friend's home.
Born on March 24, 1951 in Philadelphia, Rosie was the daughter of Christopher and Alvera (Duca) Diprinzio.
Rosie graduated from Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia to be a radiological technician. Rosie later worked as a bus driver for Wappingers Central School District, where she sparked life-long friendships with her coworkers. Through her exceptional kindness and positivity Rosie would bring joy to all she was around, her presence at yearly holiday gatherings being the staple of each get together. Though she never had a family of her own, she was family to all of those who held her dear. From her deep spirituality and love for poetry to her admiration for the actor Gerard Butler, Rosie's unique personality culminated in a friend who truly had your best intentions at heart. Holidays were more than just a date on the calendar to Rosie, for she would spend each holiday with her closest friends and their extended families.
Rosie is survived by her dearest friends including Marlene and Joseph Gallo of Esopus, Shawn McGarrity of Esopus, Pamela and Arthur Dragonetti and family of Hopewell Junction, her care giver and friend Michelle Gallo and Kristen Enson of Hopewell Junction, and Debra Cassidy and family of Poughquag. Rosemary was also survived by a brother Anthony DiPrinzio (Diane) as well as a niece Tara DiPrinzio and nephew Jason DiPrinzio all of Pennsylvania.
