Obituary

FISHKILL – Rudolph B. Gado, 95, died peacefully at his home on January 18, 2022. An area resident since 1990, he formerly lived in Ossining.

Born on September 8, 1926 in Brooklyn, he was the son of Pietro and Giovanna (Bassignana) Gado. Rudy had been employed as a construction foreman for LaSala Construction in Mount Vernon. He enjoyed collecting baseball memorabilia and coins.

Rudy is survived by his wife, Marilyn; his son and daughter-in-law, Kurt and Eileen; his daughter-in-law, Jill; his grandchildren and their spouses, Mark and Tara, Chris and Stacie, Peter and Jen, Timothy and Jill, Patrick, Robbie and Becca, Kelsey and Ernesto, and Nicholas; and his great-grandchildren, Alanna, Ryan, Benjamin, Nicholas, Xavier, Peter, Ian, Kayden, Jax and Eliza. He was predeceased by his son, Mark; his son Peter and daughter-in-law, Linda; and his brother, Aldo.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 9-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Denis Church, 602 Beekman Road, Hopewell Junction.
