POUGHQUAG - Ryan Francis Ackley, 27, died on September 1, 2024 in New York City.

He was born in Carmel, NY on July 18, 1997. Ryan was a graduate of Arlington High School and Dutchess Community College. He was employed at Starbucks in the Acme Supermarket, Patterson, NY.

Ryan was a naturally talented musician and composed many songs over his life. He shared them on Spotify and Apple Music under the name Venice Lockjaw. He enjoyed reading, working out at the gym, and kayaking with his family. He had a special devotion to animals. His dog, Wilson, was the brightest light of his life.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Anna and Lenny; his sister, Katelyn; his brother, Dylan; his grandparents, Len and Gladys Ackley and Philomena Drew; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Kateri Church, 1925 Route 82, LaGrangeville, NY on Saturday, September 7, 2024 at 10:00 am.
