Obituary

Ryan Patrick Brennan, 42, of LaGrangeville, NY, passed away on September 19, 2022, at Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, NY, surrounded by his loving family.
Ryan, the son of Jill Flanigan of LaGrangeville and Michael Brennan (Kathy) of Silver Spring, MD, was born in St. Peter's Hospital in Albany, NY, on September 5, 1980. He is survived by his parents and his brother, Seamus Brennan (Ann) of Clinton Corners, NY, and numerous Flanigan and Brennan aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
As a child, Ryan lived in Albany, NY, San Diego, CA, Bethesda, MD, and Millbrook, NY.

He graduated from Millbrook High School in 1998, having excelled in soccer and anything else he put his mind to. He enjoyed many hiking and canoe trips to national parks with his father and brother and was a proficient amateur nature photographer. After attending Hudson Valley Community College, he settled in Pompano Beach, Fl, where he worked as a mechanic at Redline BMW and developed a life-long passion for deep sea fishing and sports cars. In 2014, Ryan traded Florida for AllieDeeFarm in LaGrangeville, where he and his mother and brother maintain a self-sustainable, ag-educational farm which they share with hundreds of like minded farmers of all ages. Ryan was especially proud of his grape and hops crop, and his maple syrup.

He will be missed by his grandmother, Janet Flanigan, and aunts and uncles Nancy Schultz (Jack), Lea Howard (Aaron), and Teri Denfeld (Harold) all of The Villages, FL; Mary Cross (Rich), Pat Flanigan (Mary), and Michael Flanigan (Deb) all of Millbrook, NY; Kathy Chillemi (Tom) of Albany, NY; cousins Rob Cross (Amy) of Millbrook, NY, Aaron Howard Jr. (Kathleen) of Amenia, NY, Matt Howard (Cassie) of Tampa, FL, Whitney Rosier (Justin) of Chicago, IL, Devin McCoubry (Matt) of Carmel, NY, "little sis" Keegan Donovan (Brian) of Millbrook, NY; the Graham family, Jimmy the Greek and the crew at Redline BMW, Pompano Beach, FL.

Calling hours will be held on Sunday October 9 from 1 to 3 pm at McHoul Funeral Home, 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, NY. There will be a celebration of Ryan's life at 3 pm.

After saying goodbye to Ryan at the hospital, the family returned to the farm to find a rainbow filled sky. Coincidence?
