Ryan Michael Privitera, a Dutchess County resident since 1997, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 30, 2019. He was 24.
Ryan was born on December 7, 1994 in Yonkers. At the age of 3, his family relocated to Dutchess County, where Ryan attended local schools and graduated from Roy C. Ketcham High School.
Ryan had many passions including his love for music and playing the guitar. He also enjoyed sports, especially baseball and football. He was a member of the Ketcham High School football team and was an avid New Orleans Saints fan. He was fascinated by science and nature and yearned to become a marine biologist.
He was a loving and gentle person who will be remembered for his tremendous spirit of kindness. He was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his parents, Leonard and Tara (McHale) Privitera; his brother, Nicholas Privitera; his sister, Rhiannon Privitera; his half-sister, Melissa Cardone; his nephews, Maximus, Orrin, and Asher; a host of aunts and uncles, including Sharon & John Nolan (also his Godfather); many cousins, including Lily Nolan and Alex Adam; as well as many other loving relatives and close friends.
Ryan was predeceased by his grandparents.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 7 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 8 at the funeral home, followed by interment at Union Cemetery of Lloyd.
