ST. AUGUSTINE, FL – Sadie R. Carter, 100, a resident of St. Augustine, FL for 50 years and previously of Danbury, CT and Stormville, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, April 12, 2014.
Born in Pine Planes, NY, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Elizabeth (Hill) Carter. She was also predeceased by her husband, Franklin Sinclair, Sr.; her son, Frank Kieth, Sr., and her niece, Lorraine Springsteen.
Sadie owned her own environmental service company and a bed and breakfast. She retired from United Technology where she was the supervisor for making parts for the war planes. She also marched with Martin Luther King.
Sadie is survived by her grandchildren, Chandra Kieth and Frank Kieth, Jr.; a great-great grandson, Justin Kieth; her niece, Ruth Gray and her husband Thomas; her nephew, Roger Watkins; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Colleen Gray Oakley and her husband Craig, Mark Gray, Lynn Gray, Michael Gray, Nanette Martin, Shawn Springsteen, Monique Springsteen, and Rochelle Watkins; her great-great nieces and nephews, Colleen Phillips, Leighton Williams, Christophene Robinson, Ciarra Gray, Takara Gray, Mark Gray, Jr., Michelle Gray, and Trina Gray; 3 great-great granddaughters including Cassidy Kieth; 1 great-great-great grandson; and 13 great-great-great nieces and nephews.
