Samuel Letang, 72, died on September 14, 2024 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Born in Dominica on May 23, 1952, he was the son of the late Joseph and Madeleine (Remy) Letang. Samuel had been a member of the Nazarene Church in Dominica. Ten years ago, Samuel and his wife left Dominica and moved to Ontario, Canada. In April, they moved to Hopewell Junction to live with their daughter and her family.

On December 28, 1980 in Dominica, Samuel married Augustina Henderson who survives at home. He is also survived by his children, Selma Ryan, Percious Henderson, Jeanette Burford, Olivia Antoine, Owen Letang, Vernita Rolle, and Shandar Letang; his son-in-law, Alvin Rolle; his siblings, Helen Antione, Catherine Jones, Benedict Jules and Emelia Letang; 21 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 26 from 10-11am at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction, New York. There will be a Funeral Service at 11am followed by interment in the Hopewell Cemetery.
