Sandra N. Ferraro, nee Novitsky, a 25-year resident of Beacon and formerly of Westchester County, died on Tuesday, January 19, 2016 at St. Luke's Cornwall Hospital in Newburgh. She was 62.
Daughter of Jerome and Nadya Novitsky, she was born in Manhattan on December 4, 1953. Sandra worked for many years at Dellwood Dairy in Westchester, where she worked as an accountant.
She pursued many hobbies, and became a skilled artist and sculptor. As a child her work was on display in the Children's Museum of the Modern Museum of Art. She attended the First Reformed Church of Fishkill and was a member of the Chelsea Yacht Club.
Sandra held an Associates Degree in Marketing from Brooklyn College, attended King's College in Briarcliff Manor and earned a degree in accounting from Lehman College.
On October 18, 1997, she married Andrew Ferraro at the First Reformed Church of Fishkill. Andrew survives at home in Beacon.
Sandra is also survived by her mother, Nadya Novitsky, as well as her sister, Deborah Novitsky.
She was predeceased by her father, a decorated WWII veteran.
Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 24 at the McHoul Funeral Home of Fishkill, Inc., 1089 Main Street, Fishkill. A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Gloria McCanna officiating.
