Sandra Nadarzynski, formerly of Holyoke, Massachusetts and Hopewell Junction, New York, died on September 7, 2024, at Vassar Brothers Medical Center, surrounded by her family.

Sandra was born in Holyoke, Massachusetts on November 27, 1944, and was the daughter of the late William and Chestra "Skippy" (nee Walkowicz) Werenski. She attended Ursuline Academy and Dean Junior College.

"Sandy" was employed as a schoolteacher at St. Mary's School in Wappingers Falls, St. Columba School in Hopewell Junction and at Hull Homestead Nursery School. She was also a volunteer at the East Fishkill Library. Sandy was extremely artistic and crafty; she enjoyed knitting and sewing. She particularly enjoyed knitting hats for newborns in the NICU at Vassar Brothers Medical Center and baby blankets for infants. Sandy had many friends and a love for life; she loved scratch off tickets, horseraces, DIY projects and was often seen driving around town in her blue convertible.

Sandy adored her daughters, son- in-law and especially her four grandchildren. She is survived by her daughters, Janine Mastellone (Mahopac) and Jessica Greher and son-in-law Andrew Greher (Cornwall) as well as her grandchildren, Adam, Antonio, Alexander, and Avery.

Sandy was the beloved wife of Edward A. Nadarzynski. They were married on May 30, 1966, at Mater Dolorosa Church in Holyoke, Massachusetts. After 58 years of marriage, Edward predeceased her on September 5, 2024, only 2 days before her own passing. Her beloved husband, Edward, was waiting for her at the Gates of Heaven when she left us.

Calling hours for Edward and Sandra will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024, from 4-8 pm at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered for both Edward and Sandra on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 10 am at St. Columba Church, 835 Route 82, Hopewell Junction.
