Sara Emma D' Ambrosio, 96, a resident of the town of Beekman since 2005, and formerly of Port St. Lucie Fl, Stonybrook & Brentwood L.I. died at her home Saturday January 11th, 2025.

Born in Manhattan on May 9, 1928, she was the daughter of Nicholas & Anna (Patti) Arbia. She attended New Utrecht High School in Brooklyn. She would later work in banking as a teller and bookkeeper. However, she was most proud of her life as a wife and mother.

She married Thomas D' Ambrosio, the love of her life, on October 30th, 1948. They moved to Brentwood L.I., where they raised their family. She was an active member of St. Anne's parish in Brentwood and was involved in The Confraternity of Christian Mothers. She was extremely devoted to the Blessed Mother, Mary and her Catholic faith throughout her life. In recent years she had been a parishioner of St. Kateri in Lagrangeville, NY.

Sara is survived by her seven children and their spouses: Mary & Edward Tilson of Sandia Park, NM; Ralph & Cindy D' Ambrosio of Bayport, NY; Gerard & Jayne D' Ambrosio of Carmel, NY; Teresa & Vyts Kulpa of Freeport, FL; Grace & Bobby Zummo of Dagsboro, DE; Elizabeth and Michael Crafts of Lehigh Acres, FL ; Anne & Christopher Whitton of Beekman, NY; 17 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 pm & 7 to 9 pm, Thursday January 16th, 2025, at the McHoul Funeral Home Inc., 895 Rte. 82, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am. the following day, Friday January 17th, 2025, at St. Kateri Tekakwitha Roman Catholic Church, 1925 NY-82, Lagrangeville, NY 12540. Interment will follow Mass at St. Denis Cemetery, 604 Beekman Rd, Hopewell Junction, NY 12533.
