WINGDALE – Sara Emma Gilleo, 72, passed away on June 17, 2023 at New York Presbyterian Hospital in Cortlandt. She previously lived in White Plains, Hopewell Junction, and Fishkill.

Born in Mount Kisco on October 10, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Beatrice (Canniff) Demilio. She worked as a nurses aide for many years. Sara enjoyed doing puzzles, cooking, and more importantly spending time with her family.

On March 15, 1975, she married Charles W. Gilleo, Sr. who survives at home. She is also survived by her children Charles W. Gilleo, Jr., Sara M. Gilleo (Kenneth), Joseph (Brandy) Gilleo, Nicholas Gilleo, Frederick Gilleo, Lisa (Richard) Vargas, Emma Gilleo (William); her 22 grandchildren; her 9 great-grandchildren; her sister, Beatrice (Al) Conklin; her beloved dogs, Missy and Cupid; 2 nieces; and 1 nephew.

Calling hours will be held at the McHoul Funeral Home, Inc., 895 Route 82, Hopewell Junction on Friday from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm with a funeral service at 3:30 pm.
